VicRoads and the Greater City of Bendigo on Wednesday launched a new class of number plate designed to formally recognise "differently skilled motorists."
The plates indicate to other motorists that a driver is excellent at flipping the bird, tailgating and flying past like a complete knob but crapola at everything else, such as parking.
Instead of an angry note, the S-plates can be affixed to the windscreen of parked cars in shopping centres.
"We wanted to give these drivers a way to stand out," said Nick Malakas, a VicRoads spokesperson. "And honestly, most of them were already doing that."
A survey conducted by Bendigo Have Your Say found 90% of locals have been affected by "alternatively capable" road users.
"We feel this gives these drivers the attention they've always wanted," Malakas said, "just slightly more formalised."
