Festival Planned To Celebrate Napier St Upgrade
Celebration

Bendigo Council is planning a month-long street festival to celebrate the completion of the $30 million Napier Street upgrade.

The entire new road will be closed for the entire month during the Upgrade Festival.

Bob Gosh, President of The Napier Street Society Committee said "We want to celebrate the new road. The celebration will be worthy of a new road."

The festival will be a week-long celebration of music, food and art that makes Bendigo a great place to live despite all the crap that's going on.

The Upgrade Festival will include a multicultural concert featuring local and Melbourne-based musicians and performers, a multicultural food market, craft and cultural stalls and children’s activities. Each night will end with a 30-minute fireworks display.
