A mum has received an Arrowroot biscuit that started out oval but now resembles microwaved porridge.
"Mum. Mum. Mum. Have some," Jet said, pushing the soggy biscuit toward his mother’s face as she talked to someone else.
"I said 'no thank you, that's yours,' and he started crying," she said. "So I pretended to eat it and mimed chewing."
According to sources, the biscuit was licked, bitten, dropped, picked up, licked again, and carried through two rooms before Jet finally offered it.
"It means he loves her," said Dr Caroline West, a child psychologist. "It also means she will never eat in peace again.
"Jet stood just inches from his mum’s face, waiting for her to open her mouth. Afterwards, he asked for another biscuit but was told there weren’t any left.
There actually were some left.
At the time of writing, Jet was offering his dad, Jay, a piece of banana he’d been holding for 45 minutes.
"It's bruised now," Jay said. "I guess I'm going to have to eat it."
