Kid Calls Teacher ‘Mum,’ Now Legally Family

In an unexpected legal twist, local primary school student Timmy Baker accidentally initiated a lifelong commitment when he called his teacher "Mum" during class yesterday.

The incident occurred when Timmy, frantically searching for his pencil, turned to Mrs S and asked, "Mum, can I borrow a pen?" Mrs S was reportedly caught off guard but now finds herself embroiled in a complex legal situation.

“The lawyers say I’m now part of the family,” said an exasperated Mrs S. “I must attend all family functions, including Timmy’s sister’s graduation, his cousin’s Greek Orthodox baptism, and Uncle Dave’s annual fishing trip. I was trying to teach fractions!”

The case sets a dangerous precedent, with one PE teacher in Ballarat now facing mandatory Christmas participation after his student mistakenly called him 'Dad.'
