Visitors to Lake Weeroona were treated to high drama today after a brand-new iPhone 17 was dropped into the water.

The device, which costs more than your first car, now lies dormant in the murky depths of Lake Weeroona.

Witnesses report that one turtle was completely unfazed, scoffing before tapping out a text on its trusty Nokia brick, which was dropped 25 years ago. The message simply read: “LOL.”

Their friend Terry, the Murray River short-necked turtle, texted back, "Finders keepers, losers."

Experts confirm the turtle has no intention of upgrading, citing the Nokia’s “supreme battery life, Snake II, and ability to stop a bullet.”

The turtle bragged to The Bendigo Standard that their Snake II high score still unbeaten since 2003.
