A Marong family have embarked on a search for their dog Vader, a four-year-old Pomeranian.
The Clutch family came home to discover the Buy Swap & Sell Facebook page open and a hundred dollar note in Sprinkles the cat's mouth.
Garry and Julie Clutch described Vader as a very likeable, happy, social dog.
"That dog was the son I always wanted," said Garry. "Sure, the dog was noisy. What four year old isn't?"
"I can't believe Sprinkles would do such a thing. Not our Sprinkles," says Julie.
The owners believe Vader was simply a convenient target - in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"I'm impressed someone came all the way out to Marong just to pick up a dog," says Garry.
Sprinkles could not be reached for comment.
