A Year 4 student’s Mick Taylor Book Week costume has left teachers “deeply disturbed,” prompting staff at a local primary school to gently suggest the boy should “maybe just stick to Roblox from now on.”
“Honestly, we were going to encourage a love of books, but this costume was a literary hate crime”, said librarian Ms. Dunsmore.
His mum told The Bendigo Standard, "I have no idea how he saw Wolf Creek. It wasn't us. We're a God fearing household."
Staff say the decision to steer Brayden toward algorithm-driven video consumption wasn’t made lightly.
“We’re just not sure the written word is for him,” said Year 4 teacher Mrs K. “Maybe he’d thrive in a more visual medium. Like lip-syncing to Taylor Swift. Or unboxing slime.”
One child became so freaked out from the costume they burst into tears, asking if they were dressed as divorce.
More to come.
