In a bold leap for time-poor locals. Bendigo Health has unveiled Australia's first Drive-Thru Colonoscopy service.

"People are super busy", said Dr Shanyn Probe, shouting over an idle Toyota Hilux. "They've got jobs, kids, kids' sports, church, but no one has any time to get a camera up their butt."

Local tradie Bret Gunn was one of the first in line and is thrilled with the new service.

"I didn't even have to get out of my ute, how good is that? You lean over the centre console and let them do their thing. They were in and out within 90 seconds. I got a lollipop too."

In one incident, a confused driver misunderstood and tried to order a McFlurry. He said he wouldn't make that mistake again.

Officials say that if the service is successful, they plan to expand the concept to include drive-thru vasectomies, open-heart surgery, and wisdom tooth removal.
