A table at a Bendigo café is still way too sticky, it has been confirmed.
The table has been sticky since Thursday and shows no signs of improvement despite a staff member wiping it down in full view of several customers this morning.
The wipe-down, conducted with a cloth of unknown cleanliness, is understood to have made the table marginally worse.
"It's all good", a barista told The Bendigo Standard.
Patrons have since developed a range of adaptive strategies, including placing a napkin under their coffee cup or resting their forearms on the menu.
A second wipe-down has not been ruled out.
